Giving Our Wheels a Longer Ride!

Since merging in March 2024, TIER and Dott have been on a mission to change mobility for good, together. We’re thrilled to share our first combined Sustainability Report for 2024! Operating a quarter of a million vehicles across over 400 cities in 21 countries, we’re committed to making sustainable, affordable, and safe micromobility a reality for everyone.

Phoenix Program: Our Commitment to Vehicle Lifespan

One of our proudest achievements highlighted in the report is the incredible success of our “Phoenix” refurbishment program. Launched in 2021, Phoenix sets a new standard for circularity in the micromobility industry. In 2024 alone, we scaled up our efforts significantly, refurbishing an additional 9,700 e-scooters from both TIER and Dott fleets.

This brings our total refurbished vehicles to a remarkable 25,000, extending the average e-scooter lifespan to an impressive 11,000 kilometers! Our dedicated team of 50 professionals at our global operational center in Poland also reworked over 13,500 IoT modules and 2,600 batteries.

What does refurbishment involve? Each e-scooter is completely disassembled for a thorough diagnostic check. Components are meticulously refurbished, and then the vehicle gets a final clean and repaint. The main goal? To boost the durability of each vehicle by at least two additional years and maximize its overall utilization. It’s all about making our fleet last longer and work harder for you.

Shared Mobility x Public Transport
= Public Mobility

Our services aren’t just convenient; they’re also boosting public transport use. Our 2024 rider survey revealed that 41% of TIER-Dott rides connect with public transport. Even more impressive, 16% of these public transport trips wouldn’t have happened without the first and last-mile benefits of shared micromobility, adding over 6.5 million rides to public transport systems in the cities we serve!

Safer Journeys

Safety is also a top priority. We’re actively working towards a “Vision Zero” for accidents. Last year, we conducted numerous safety events across Europe, partnering with local organizations to educate riders on responsible e-scooter and e-bike use. We’re proud to report lower injury rates compared to industry-aggregated data from MMfE: 3.3 injuries requiring medical treatment per million kilometers ridden on our vehicles.

Our local operational teams also received extensive training, including 97 standardized operational trainings, covering everything from general safety to best practices for deploying e-scooters in areas without marked parking spots to protect visually impaired people.

As Maxim Romain, President at TIER-Dott, shares, “Both TIER and Dott were founded in 2018 with the same mission: Pollution-free cities for people and not cars. With our 250,000 e-scooters and e-bikes, we are delivering a sustainable and affordable mobility solution to the citizens and visitors of over 400 cities. One of our proudest achievements is our refurbishment program ‘Phoenix,’ which reached the milestone of 25,000 vehicles refurbished to date, with an additional 13,500 IoTs and 2,600 batteries reworked in 2024 alone.

We’re incredibly proud of the progress we’ve made since our start in 2018, keeping a long history of transparency on carbon footprint and sustainability progress. We are excited to continue driving positive change in urban mobility. Together, let’s keep changing mobility for good in 2025!
