Dott introduces reservations for e-scooters and e-bikes

Dott, the European provider of shared e-scooters and e-bikes, is now offering vehicle reservations in the app. With the new feature, users can now reserve a vehicle for up to 10 minutes.

How the new feature works
Users can see available e-scooters and e-bikes near their location on the in-app map. By selecting a vehicle, the app displays the distance in metres, making it easy to plan. With just one click on “Reserve”, users can now reserve a vehicle for ten minutes free of charge, ensuring it’s waiting for them when they arrive. Users then simply scan the QR code on the vehicle to start the ride.

This new feature eliminates one of the most common frustrations among users — walking up to a vehicle only to find it’s already been rented. Whether people are commuting to work, meeting friends, or running errands, the reservation feature provides a smoother start to every ride.

Developed for the users
The ability to reserve vehicles was the most requested feature by Dott users. The new feature reflects Dott’s ongoing commitment to improving the rider experience. It’s designed to provide more flexibility, improve access during busy periods, and reduce competition for high-demand vehicles at peak times.

Reservations are now available in the Dott app on iOS and Android in all of the more than 400 cities in 21 countries where Dott operates.
