Parking guidelines
How & where to park – France
Parking in Paris
In Paris, please note that our scooters must be parked in our dedicated spots marked on your app with a blue “P”. Only the parking spots labeled for e-scooters are allowed.
Parking in Bordeaux
In Bordeaux, make sure to park in the parking spots available in your app, as well marked with a blue “P”. These parking spots can be labeled for e-scooters, two-wheelers, or “MOTO”. Never park on the sidewalk.
Once you’re in a parking spot, we’ll ask you to snap a photo of your parked scooter so we know you parked correctly. Always park your Dott in an upright position using the kickstand. When the app prompts you to take a picture and check your parking spot, make sure that the photo is in focus and shows where the scooter is parked. In the event of incorrect parking or an illegible photo, you risk a fine of €10.
Parking outside of the Dott riding area is not possible and can lead to an administrative relocation fee up to €300 in addition to possible legal fines from cities. Never park in areas that are legally off-limits, such as:
In the middle of the sidewalk or bike lanes
Private property or private driveways
Wheelchair ramps
Areas that need to stay free for safety reasons (e.g. hospital entrances)
No-park zones (these are generally shown on your in-app map)
Please ensure that the photo is only showing the vehicle in the dedicated parking spot and does not include images of yourself or other people.
Parking in Lyon
In Lyon, parking spaces dedicated to scooters have just been set up. These spaces are represented by blue zones on the map.
We recommend that you first try to park in these spots. If this isn’t possible, you should then look for a spot designated for motorbikes and two-wheelers.
